This privacy policy applies to the MedReminder mobile application (the
"Application") for Android devices, developed and maintained by CareMind Labs.
1. Information Collection and Use
The Application operates entirely offline and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, health information, or analytics to external servers.
All data entered into the Application, including but not limited to:
- Medicine names
- Dosage schedules and frequencies
- Medication intake history (logs)
…is stored completely locally and securely on your device using local device storage. CareMind Labs has no access to this data at any time.
2. Permissions Required
To function properly, the Application requests the following device permissions:
- Notifications (and Alarms & Reminders): The Application requires this permission solely to schedule and display local, offline alerts when it is time to take your medication. No scheduling data or notification history is transmitted off your device.
- Schedule Exact Alarms (Android 12+): Required to deliver medication reminders at the precise scheduled time, even when the device is in a low-power state. This permission is used exclusively for local alarm scheduling.
- Display Over Lock Screen / Wake Device: Used only to display the full-screen alarm notification on your lock screen when a dose is due. No data is collected or transmitted as a result of this feature.
3. Third-Party Access
Since the Application does not transmit data to external servers, your data is never shared with, sold to, or accessed by third parties. We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking libraries.
4. Data Security
The security of your data is ensured by the operating system of your device. All application data is
stored in the app's private sandbox (Android AsyncStorage /
SharedPreferences), which is inaccessible to other apps without root access.
We recommend keeping your device protected with a passcode, face recognition, or fingerprint lock to secure access to the Application and your health data.
5. Children's Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected by the Application at all, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children's data.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Application or applicable law. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date above. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
